No matter what you drive --- a Chevy, Dodge or Ford --- we have the knowledge and equipment to diagnose and repair your domestic vehicle with the skill of the dealer, but without the hassle or the high price.

Domestic vehicles have become as complicated as the imports. It has become almost impossible to repair domestic vehicles without the correct knowledge, diagnostic equipment, and tools; just take a look under the hood and find the spark plugs!  We understand that many owners cannot self-repair their own vehicles, and we will not take advantage of that fact.

A word of caution regarding the "free" code reading service provided by auto parts stores (check engine light or MIL):  They use a code reader that pulls generic codes for the system that is malfunctioning. It will not interface with the sensors of the malfunctioning systems.  Basically, the check engine light, actually called the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light), only reports that the system that is not "happy," and points in the general direction of the real problem.  Most of the parts store employees are not mechanics or technicians, and they only sell parts that they vaguely guess will fix the problem.  Here at Ashley Automotive Service, we have extensive diagnostics equipment that interfaces and communicates with the vehicles' complex systems.  Then, a skilled  technician who understands what the scanner is displaying produces a proper diagnostic for the car. Many trips to auto parts stores to buy parts that employees vaguely guess will fix the problem (ultimately resulting in a higher cost as well as greater inconvenience) can instead be addressed in a one-stop diagnosed, fixed, and out the door experience here at Ashley Automotive Service.
